The folks at A Street were fantastic!! I called and they gave me a very reasonable quote for an oil change that also included an inspection and tire rotation. They gave a report that flagged a couple minor issues, but they did not try to upsell me. Communication was also fantastic, they texted with the report and when my car was ready. I would go back for any services anytime!!

Just got my car repaired here and these guys seriously hooked it up. I came in thinking it would be a bigger issue, but they diagnosed it fast, kept me updated the whole time, and got my engine mount replaced within two days. Super communicative, straightforward about what was actually going on, and didn’t try to upsell me on anything I didn’t need. You can tell they actually care about doing honest work. Highly recommend.

Great customer service, always kept me notified with their progress. Sean was a great guy to speak with, and had good jokes that made me laugh. I felt like I got the family treatment here, glad I went with them instead of the chain companies. I had a coolant issue that got resolved quickly, and at a good price.

I stopped to see if they worked in classic cars, I arrived and my engine fans stopped working and car started overheating. Even thought they work on vehicles over model year 2000, Scott was able to help me out and get me back on the road with a nice cool happy engine and a new promoter. It’s good deeds like this that spread fast. Now please know they’re busy due to others being a recipient of word of mouth prior to me. So if you have a car that needs routine maintenance or something bigger, ask for Scott, he and the team will do right by you.

Can’t say enough about A street auto. I am originally from the east coast, where I went to a garage owned by a family friend for years. Finding good, honest help is difficult to find when you relocate. I received the same level of helpfulness and transparency at A street auto that I would back at my family friend’s garage back east. You feel that this is a family owned business instantly, and that they take pride in what they do. I will definitely returning in the future and recommending this garage to friends.

Awesome garage! Was trying to figure out how to pass smog to register my van and after 4 garages tried to scam me. I found A street Auto service from and old friend who recommended them. Shuan was really helpful pointing out what needed to be done. And the owner Scott and his son went in and did an excellent job. All it needed was a tune up and some wiring. They did an excellent job and my Ford van passed with flying colors! Highly recommend!

They take care of both of my cars, Mercedes Convertible and Acura, like they are their own. They do great work and always look for ways to save me money. I have always called my respective dealerships and asked the price of the service due. A Street has done most of the work for $1,000 less than other places. Highly recommend I send all my friends to them

HONEST, HELPFUL, COMPETENT, DILIGENT, KNOWLEDGABLE, AFFORDABLE & RESPECTFUL. All of these qualities describe the people and service provided at A Street Auto Service! In an industry that's routinely diminished by unethical characters looking to take advantage of customers, I can say with confidence that they are the most honest and transparent auto service business I have ever dealt with. The biggest indication of this was the fact that they answered all of my questions honestly even when those answers weren't necessarily to the benefit of their business. Whether the question was about pricing, needed repairs, the purpose of running certain tests, and/or how long a fix might take, I never once felt unsure about the validity or truthfulness of what they were telling me. I've lived in San Diego for almost 30 years and have lived downtown for half of that. They are the best auto repair shop in the area without a doubt. They were able to repair my BMW 335i(E93) in a day! It's running great. I also appreciated the constant communication throughout and even after the whole process. They actually care about their customers! They will be my go-to auto repair shop going forward. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle free, no BS, fully transparent and honest auto repair service. Thanks for the wonderful experience!

I’ve been coming here for about nine years, and I trust them completely. I even have my kids and parents bring their cars here because I know they’ll be in good hands. They may not be the cheapest in town, but they are the most honest, and their work is always efficient and thorough. Chris is exceptional with diagnostics, and the entire team is wonderful. I honestly am unsure how this hit anything less than a perfect score. Sean and this shop are some amazing people. The type of mechanics you can search for your entire life and never find. They are transparent fair and communicative. They took video and pictures of the issues to show that the items did have to be done. They were also transparent on what could wait, but was recommended. Seriously impressed by this shop. If you have any question of trusting your car here you can rest easy knowing that the 4.9 is well deserved.
